Barcelona’s best bites

If you are a student you probably don’t have a lot of money and maybe you end up eating Spaghettis (obviously without meat) for the last week of the month.

Therefore it is important to know some places where you can eat cheaply and well!

Here are my favourite cheap treats in Barcelona…

Kebab Arc de Triomf

Everybody loves Kebab.
So there is no way not to try a good Kebab in Barcelona.
Close to the Arc the Triomf you can find a Restaurant which is selling Kebab for 3 Euros.
I know it sounds really cheap, but the meat is incredibly delicious.
Obviously it is not the biggest Kebab, but it is still one of the best I have ever eaten and I have eaten a lot in my 21 years.

La Cervecería 100 Montaditos

It is a typical Spanish Fast Food Restaurant.
There is an insane selection of small sandwiches and other Tapas. The sandwiches are delicious, the bread is crispy and the prices are also easy on the wallet. The cheapest Bocadillos start from 1 Euro and the most expensive are 2, 50 Euros. However, on Wednesday and Sunday you can have all of them for unbeatable 1 Euro and for the healthy people there is a huge salad for 2, 00 Euros. A big plus is that they have some screens to watch football matches. Just try it and you’ll fall in love.

Mustà Shawarma

My lovely colleague recommended this Restaurant.

For that reason I went there to check out my colleagues taste. Impressed by the stunning furniture, I tried another Kebab in Barcelona. This one is a little bit more expensive for 3, 70 Euro, but totally worth it!! The kebab consists of tasty home-made bread filled with meat or chicken and the normal ingredients. For only 30 cents you can add extra cheese (which you should definitely do!). What I want to say in this paragraph is “Thank you, Janine, for sharing a good Restaurant!”

Passeig 9 – if your parents come to visit or somebody else is paying…

Take the grilled vegetables for starters. I have never had such luscious vegetables before! Second plate: rump steak!!! Before ordering please check the translation (!) or order in Spanish in the first place. My dad, my boyfriend and I, we ordered a “rump steak” at least that’s what the German translation said. Instead of a rump steak, we got a cutlet. Don’t get me wrong, it is still worth going there, because the cutlet was as delicious as the rump steak could have ever been. Just try it out with or without parents.
Sometimes you need to spend money and enjoy yourself. 🙂
