Hi everyone, I am Lara, the new Intern at Estudio Hisp\u00e1nico and will stay in Barcelona until the end of July.<\/p>\n

I arrived 2 weeks ago and have instantly fallen in love with the city.<\/p>\n

The first thing most people have in mind when they think of Barcelona is Antonio Gaudi, but there is so much more to the city.
\nSo many different aspects that form a unique and simply amazing city – just like one of Gaudi\u2019s Mosaics.<\/p>\n

During my stay I will pick some pieces out of this mosaic and show you that Barcelona is amazing, with all its\u2019 many sides.<\/p>\n

Wandering through Barcelona you will soon realize that it is always buzzing and there are so many things to see.<\/p>\n

After a while you may want to escape the buzz for some time and relax. Explore the cities green oases\u2026. Its Parks!<\/p>\n

Although most of them are located right in the heart of the city they\u2019re the best place to just take a breath and relax in the sun.<\/p>\n

First to mention is definitely the most famous one: Gaudi\u2019s Park G\u00fcell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Enjoying nature and culture all at once.<\/p>\n

You can enter some parts of it for free and have an amazing view over the city.
\nI have been sitting in the sun, enjoying the view, listening to relaxing saxophone music played somewhere close by and it was absolutely free!<\/p>\n

But you should definitely pay to see the Monumental Area at least once! I did not imagine it to be so impressive and I would definitely go there again to see the colorful Mosaics or the cave-like passages.
\nAnd in addition, it is said that you\u2019re going to have good Luck if you pet Gaudi\u2019s famous Lizard at the entrance of the Park \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

If you spend your day in the city, doing sightseeing, and feel like you need a short break,<\/p>\n

Park de la Ciutadella<\/strong> is just a stone\u2019s throw away. It is located right in the centre of the city and is famous for its huge Fountain.<\/p>\n

But you could also visit The Zoo of Bar<\/p>\n

celona, use a rowing boat on the lake, go for a walk, or simply relax and have a picnic. Afterwards you can continue your Sightseeing tour feeling fresh and energized, as the Arc de triomf is right next to the Park.<\/p>\n

If you are looking to get back to nature, enjoying the silence apart from a few birds singing, followed by an absolutely amazing view of Barcelona? You should definitely go to Tibidabo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

When I have been there I started the tour with a walk to the top through Collserola Natural Park<\/strong>. It\u2019s only a 15-minute ride with the train out of town and I really enjoyed our hike to the top.<\/p>\n

As a reward you\u2019ll receive a stunning view over Barcelona when you reach the top of Tibidabo, you can see the whole city, the ocean and even Montserrat! There is a church with a replica of the famous Jesus sculpture in Brazil. You can even take the elevator to go up there and enjoy an even more impressive view.<\/p>\n

As well as that, one of the oldest amusement parks in the world is located there. Enjoy a ride on the Ferris Wheel and feel like you are flying over the city.<\/p>\n

Of course you don\u2019t have to walk up there, you can also catch a bus or take the famous Tramvia Blau, a heritage streetcar. A trip to Tibidabo is totally worth it!<\/p>\n

Watch out fans of Mystery! There is a park made just for you as well: Labyrinth Park of Horta<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This park is home to the oldest garden in the city and it\u2019s a lovely place to get lost on a sunny day.<\/p>\n

Located in the north of the city in Horta-Guinard\u00f3, it has a mix of shaded paths, ponds, picnic areas, palaces and of course the maze itself.<\/p>\n

There are fountains, sculptures and beautiful gardens and it\u2019s
\nreally a great place to relax and recharge your batteries for all that the city has to offer!!<\/p>\n

The park is open from 10 am to 9 pm and it is free to to get in on Sundays and Wednesdays. Otherwise you will pay 2,50 euros.<\/p>\n

Hi there, it\u2019s Marie here, I\u00b4m here at Estudio Hispanico office until the end of June.<\/p>\n

If you would like to enjoy even more fantastic views of the city from a distance, admire the monuments from a great height and escape the people and tourists for just a moment, you can have a walk around the \u2018Parc Guinardo<\/strong>\u00b4.
\nYou shouldn\u2019t be worried about climbing a little and the result is well worth it.<\/p>\n

There is a place at the top called the \u2018Carmel bunker\u2019 or the \u2018Mirador of Turo de la Rovira\u2019 \u2013 it is an old bunker where cannons where placed to defend the city against the fascist air force during the Spanish Civil War. You can stand on top and watch the sun go down, the view is splendid!<\/p>\n

Upper the belvedere, you can see the Sagrada Familia, the W Hotel Barcelona, Torre Mapfre, the Montjuic mountain with the castle of Art of Catalonia, Torre Collserola, the Temple del Sagrat Cor.<\/p>\n
