Meet the Team

Janine

"I've always had an interest in languages but hadn't studied Spanish before moving to Barcelona 12 years ago. Now I have mastered the Spanish language and can use it to travel to other parts of Spain and to really get to know the local people. Granada and Seville are amongst my favourites but there's still so much more to see!"

Janine has been to: Barcelona, Tarragona, Valencia, Bilbao, San Sebastian, Madrid, Salamanca, Granada, Seville, Malaga, Dominican Republic and Marbella.

Martijn

“I hated learning languages in secondary school, but once I started travelling abroad I found out that learning a language can actually be good fun. At the same time it allows you to really get to know another culture and make interesting friends. At Estudio Hispanico I hope to help others have the same experience as I did.”

Martijn has been to: Barcelona, Bilbao, Cadiz, Granada, Madrid, Malaga, Pamplona, Salamanca, San Sebastian, Seville, Tarifa, Valencia, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru.

Julie

"According to Alphonse de Lamartine: "there is no-one more complete than he who has travelled extensively, and changed twenty times the shape of his thinking and his life.

I think that learning a language first of all allows us to reflect on its’ origin. In my case, I’ve lived abroad for over 10 years, because I feel that i gain the most from being in touch with different cultures. In that sense, languages for me are essential. I speak French, Spanish, English and Italian and I am considering learning German and Dutch in the near future. "

Julie has been to Costa Rica, Mexico, Guatemala, Barcelona, Granada, Ibiza, Madrid, Malaga, Sevilla

Serge

“I got in touch with the Spanish culture for the first time in my life in Granada. I simply love the language, the culture and the people. Being able to speak some Spanish helped me to have more fun during my trips to other destinations in Spain and Latin America and I noticed locals appreciate you trying to speak their language.  I would recommend anyone to give studying abroad a try and I will be happy to share my experience.”

Serge has been to: Barcelona, Valencia, San Sebastian, Madrid, Salamanca, Granada, Seville, Malaga, Costa Rica, Tarifa and Cadiz..
