The small town of Sosua lies in an area of incredible natural beauty, bounded by the sparkling Caribbean on one side and lush jungle on the other. During the winter, magnificent humpback whales migrate here, whilst the nearby National Park of El Choco is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife. You’ll find endless things to see and do as you learn Spanish in Sosua, but if you prefer to take it easy and unwind, you’ll love this truly idyllic setting.

Our school is located in the centre of Sosua, well-placed for both the beach, and many shops, restaurants and bars. Looking out onto the school’s garden are four shaded terraces, where Spanish lessons are often held. There is also a communal kitchen, cafeteria, free wireless Internet connection and computers with free Internet access.

Teachers at our school are all native Spanish speakers, with years of experience in teaching Spanish to foreigners. You can combine your Spanish course in Sosua with classes in windsurfing, kitesurfing or scuba diving – there’s no better place for watersports in the Caribbean! On our school’s PADI scuba diving course, which consists of 5 theory lessons and 4 dives, you can become a fully certified open water diver!

Accommodation in Sosua

Apartments in our school’s on-site residence include en-suite bathrooms, refrigerators, TVs and fans. Alternatively, hotel accommodation is available. There is a 2-star hotel which is ideally located for watersports, and a beachfront 4-star hotel, located closer to the school. Both hotels have swimming pools and feature rooms with air conditioning.

The student residence and 2-star hotel offer a bed & breakfast arrangement, while accommodation at the 4-star hotel is on a ‘room-only’ basis.
