If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, the shaded spaces of Parque Nacional are an oasis of calm. Alternatively, you can experience a different bustle with a trip to the rainforests of the Braulio Carrillo National Park. Other national parks just outside San José play host to dramatic volcanoes like Poás and Irazú, which both feature magnificent crater lakes.

The setting for your Spanish course in San José is a modern building in an attractive neighbourhood, just outside the very centre of the city. Inside are 17 spacious classrooms and a computer room with Internet access.

Our school offers group courses, individual classes and programs that combine both approaches. Group courses let you practice your Spanish vocabulary with other students of the same level as yourself. Private Spanish Lessons, on the other hand, allow your language skills to benefit from the completely undivided attention of teachers. However you choose to learn Spanish in San José with us, you can rest assured that you’ll receive first-class tuition from experienced, native teachers!

A Volunteer Work program is also available at our school, giving you the opportunity to help the local community. Contribute to projects ranging from conservation and zoo-keeping to childcare and teaching.

Find out why Costa Ricans are famed for their warmth – live with a local host family whilst you learn Spanish in San José! Your friendly host family will provide you with breakfast and dinner each day, as well as all-important Spanish practice!

Alternatively, you can prepare your own meals if you choose one of our school’s apartments. The apartments are located just a short walk from the school, and each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, lounge with TV and a computer with Internet access. You can share the apartment with other students, or have an apartment to yourself and enjoy your own space.
