Cultural Activities
We want our students to enjoy
their time in Spain, as well as learn Spanish. For this reason,
we organise an extensive cultural programme, enabling students to
find out more about Spanish life and culture as well as at the
same time providing them with extra opportunities to meet Spaniards
and
practise their Spanish. Learning Spanish at our schools and practising
the language out of class, is the most effective way to learn as
much as possible in the time you have available to you.

The Cultural programme
consists of:
Cultural Lessons on topics connected with Spanish Culture, Art, Literature and
History. A teacher shows a few slides, or a short video, or
gives a short talk, and then students join in a debate. This helps
develop students' listening skills and gives them extra practice
in speaking Spanish.
A programme of visits to places of interest. Visits are offered each week to places of interest, such as the Prado Museum in Madrid, the Sagrada Familia cathedral in
Barcelona or to Puerto Banús in Marbella. There are also
guided walks, tapas tours or parties. These activities are offered
free-of-charge or at a minimal cost and are very popular with
our students. The visits are an integral part of our Spanish
language program.

Students on an excursion from one of our Language Schools |
Full-day excursions each weekend. From Madrid these excursions are to such locations as Salamanca,
Avila, Toledo, or from Barcelona to the Dalí museum in
Figueres, to Gerona or to Montserrat. From Marbella the excursions
are to Seville, Granada or Cordoba. There is a charge if you go
on these excursions, but it is kept as low as possible.
'Intercambios'. For students
who are interested, we organise 'intercambios' at most of our
Spanish schools in Spain (conversation exchanges)
with local Spaniards, enabling students to meet and make friends
with Spanish people of a similar age.
